Since this can't even be called "Pins of the Week" anymore seeing as I don't post on the reg quite as often as I should, I've deemed it "Pinterest Inspo." Because everyone needs Pinterest. And everyone needs inspiration. You can follow me at http://pinterest.com/kloppl08/!

College Fashion
I was asked to get creative in an application to write for College Fashion, the website that inspired me to put myself out there and be fashionable and opened the eyes to a career path I didn't even know existed: fashion writing. Funny how some things come full circle. I created these Polyvore sets, because College Fashion inventively uses these to showcase trends and visually inspire, in response to the question, "What are some of your favorite fashion trends?" Studs are for studs, pink and blue hair for those ballsy enough and printed galaxy and baroque (another trend) leggings.
Graduation is creeping up on me and has made me do some serious soul searching. What do I want to do with my life? Where do I want to be? (Hence the College Fashion writing app.) Questions we've been asked since kindergarten. I want to be a mix between Lady Gaga and Karlie Kloss living glamorously in New York...but really, how do you even answer that question? In reality, if and when I do ever get to New York, I'll have 5 roommates and a roach problem and still barely be able to afford rent, let alone food and the glamorous life. I'll keep you updated. If nothing else, at least I'll be fashionable.

Camo Crazy
I remember buying my first piece of camo clothing. It wasn't for hunting or in a redneck way of any sort. My middle school wannabe fashionista self went to the coolest store around, Deb (remember that one? I thought it was the coolest), and my mom bought me a pair of skinny cargo camo jeans. Probably the best thing you could ever pick up from that store. I'm kind of embarassed about sharing that tidbit of info with you. I mean, it's Deb. But honestly, I wish I still had them so I wouldn't have to go out and spend money on the latest trend. So lesson of the day: DON'T throw out trends gone bad. They'll probably come around again in a few years and you'll be kicking yourself if you have to spend money on it. Again. Like me.

Insta-Gem
The coolest ceiling lights in a little techno meets froyo place in RVA. |
My newest obsession, lispsticks. Coral and light pink! Already lost my vixen red color, of course. |
Statement necklace from Forever21. So Versace meets H&M. |
I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve so this seemed appropriate. |
DIY Merica! shorts that I made for the 4th. All you need is fabric spray paint, some tape, and star stickers. Super easy and you can wear them all summer. |
You can see my hair better in this pic. This is me and the boyfriend on vacay with the fam this week that I just got back from. |

Truly Yours
Everyone's busy, it's no excuse. I trust no one wants to hear me go on a tangent about what I've been up to instead of blogging on the reg. But it's a good one! And one I think my readers would want to know about because it has to do with fashion (yeee!). OK, here's the story: A couple months ago at the end of the spring semester, I found out that I would have the responsibility and more importantly the opportunity to intern with an online boutique called Truly Yours. The owner, Erin Barfield, who's pictured above in the summer lookbook, recently graduated from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and her site's been up for a short nine months. Not nearly long enough to become a go-to online shopping experience, but that's exactly what it's grown into. Truly Yours already has over 1,000 followers on Facebook and college girls everywhere are in love with the contemporary, trendy and affordable styles. But my duties there, like writing for the blog A Style Truly Yours, have obviously taken away from my time with my dear love Of a Gem. (But please, feel free to click the link above to actually see with your own eyes what I've been up to. Bragging rights.) To make matters even worse I just landed a part-time job and school's starting back up in a month. But no worries! I'm committed to making this a part of my life once again. And thank you for sticking with me on this one and here's to hoping that you continue to read.

Best of "Call Me Maybe"
Just when it seemed like the Carly Rae Jepsen "Call Me Maybe" phenomenon was over...it wasn't. Famed designer Rebecca Minkoff, along with the genius behind Man Repeller, Leandra Medine, and model Hilary Rhoda, added to the parody videos today with this gem of the ladies getting ready for the CFDA awards whilst lip synching. Which is unfortunate for all you Carly haters out there. But I know most of the girls I go to school with will be thrilled seeing as they yell and scream every time it comes on at a party or downtown (some guys actually included in that group.) So I decided to throw together a little mash up of what I think are the best of the "Call Me Maybe" parody videos that also include a Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez video filled with hipster moustaches, banana phones and Ashley Tisdale. And if you don't think the Barack Obama one is a piece of artwork, you've obviously never edited video.
Also, is anyone else kind of freaked out by the baby getting thrown around?
